Donna McKenna studied Psychology and Business as an undergraduate and Human Resources as a graduate student. After an extensive career as a Human Resources/Staffing Leader in companies such as Pfizer Inc. and Arrow Electronics, Donna decided to make a career change to follow her passion for fitness and wellness.
Now more than ten years later, Donna is working in Corporate, Commercial, and Boutique Fitness for companies such as OPTUM and Town Sports International. Her experience has led her to realize her dream of opening her own boutique studio, Pilates Fit Life. Pilates Fit Life provides semi private as well as private training on the Pilates Reformer and Tower.
At Pilates Fit Life, Donna utilizes the methodology of the Physical Mind Institute through which she is a certified Pilates Apparatus trainer. Donna is also a certified ACE Personal Trainer as well as an AFAA Group Exercise Instructor and holds several additional specialty certifications. Most recently, Donna became a Pilates Teacher Trainer and has expanded her services to include training prospective pilates instructors.
Pilates Fit Life reflects Donna’s belief that the fundamentals of Pilates provide the proper basis for exercise. In conjunction with her Pilates practice within Pilate Fit Life, Donna holds certifications in Spinning, TRX, Kettlebells, Les Mills BODYPUMP, and Barre and is actively teaching in all formats.
Lisa has spent her career in the media and ad tech space and recognized early on the need to balance her work life and need for personal wellness. Realizing she was more ‘top of her game’ in the office and more present at home if she found time to move her body, she worked to incorporate movement throughout the week and enjoyed the benefits.
As Lisa continued to enjoy the movements that she incorporated into her exercise program, she was left feeling like she needed more. The aches and pains that come with aging were becoming more challenging (and harder to ignore) and she knew she needed to find a different approach. With that, she turned to Pilates, and specifically the reformer, to find more flexibility and mobility to help address some of the aches and pains It didn’t take long for Lisa to be completely hooked and incorporated Pilates into her weekly routine.
But she didn’t stop there! Because she believes so firmly in the benefits of Pilates, she decided to extend her knowledge through a Pilates instructor program (right at PFL!) in order to be able to help others on their path.
Lisa is now a certified instructor and is focused on the mind-body connection and benefits of Pilates. She loves to challenge clients and is looking forward to seeing you in class to help you enjoy the same benefits, as well!
Fun fact: You may hear Lisa state “We aren’t looking for perfection, we’re looking for progress!”

Jennifer is originally from Stony Brook, Long Island where she played soccer and lacrosse for the Three Village School district. There she enjoyed the discipline of on and off-season physical conditioning along with studying holistic wellness. She received a BA in English Literature and Communications in New York City where she lived and worked as a contract administrator at major record labels such as EMI Music North America. When she returned to Long Island to raise her son, she soon became passionate about practicing the Pilates method and its miraculous results both physically and mentally. Jennifer is certified through the PhysicalMind Institute to teach Pilates mat classes and full apparatus training.
Mary, hailing from Virginia, has been a resident of Lloyd Harbor/Huntington for 30 plus years.
A gymnast and athlete growing up, Mary became a high-impact aerobics and weight training enthusiast, which lasted most of her adulthood until a variety of injuries forced setbacks and life changes. Having gotten certified in Mat Pilates through Equinox Fitness a decade ago, she is also a longtime student of Pilates reformer as well as Iyengar and restorative yoga. Combined these have become the tools for healing, mobility, strength, and balance in her daily life. Eager to continue to learn, share, and grow this passion for safe, dynamic, and effective exercise she recently became a certified reformer and apparatus instructor through Physical Mind Institute.
A mom of 3, Mary also volunteers at Long Island Cares and Huntington Hospital.

A long-time Huntington resident, Susan was the founder and co-owner of Body & Soul Fitness and Yoga Center in Huntington, NY, from 2002 – 2020, where she also taught strength training and fitness classes. At that same time, Susan was and remains an AFAA certified personal trainer, where she performs in-home personal training for her clients. Susan is also a Certified Pilates instructor and an AFAA certified group fitness instructor. Prior to Body & Soul, Susan was the owner of Susan’s Fitness Studio, Huntington, NY for 6 years. Her prior experience includes personal training and group fitness instruction at TONL Fitness, Huntington, NY, and Forever Fit, Centerport, NY. Susan also volunteered and taught fitness classes for seniors at the Huntington Senior Center for 6 years. She has also trained for, and run, numerous road races including the New York City Marathon, Philadelphia Marathon, the Marine Corp Marathon, the Chicago Marathon, and the Steamtown Marathon. Susan’s enthusiasm for teaching fitness now includes Pilates at Pilates FitLife, Huntington, New York, where she looks forward to bring fitness and fun to its members.

Jillian is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and the founder of A Full Plate Nutrition, Inc, a nutrition counseling private practice based in Huntington, NY. She has earned a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her dietetic internship of 1,200+ supervised practice hours through LIU Post where she is now a clinical instructor and adjunct professor. She has also received a certificate in Culinary Nutrition from New York Natural Gourmet Institute in addition to a bachelor’s degree in business from Loyola University Maryland.

I've been coming to PilatesFitLife for three years. I originally came as a means to assist in rehabbing a torn hamstring, but along the way realized another benefit of Pilates. I had been told that I was losing inches. In fact, i was 1 inch and 1/2 shorter! Well no more! I've restored 1 inch and 1/4 and am thrilled with the improvements to my posture, joint health, and my hamstring and body feel great! Thanks Donna and PilatesFitLife!
I started Pilates a few years ago and discovered that it has increased my flexibility and strength significantly. After an annual visit to my orthopedic surgeon he complimented my overall success in improving the function of my two hip replacements. There is much to be gained in this wonderful activity.
I cannot say enough about Pilates Fit Life! Donna is an incredible wealth of knowledge about fitness. As we are performing the exercises she is always sure to let you know which part of the body you are working and why. The classes are challenging yet completely safe as modifications are always offered to suit individual needs. Donna keeps the choreography creative so we are always trying something new which keeps the workout fresh and exciting each time. I feel as though she targets all the muscle groups in each class ensuring a full body workout. The atmosphere at the studio is very welcoming and soothing. In these uncertain times what I truly appreciate most is Donna’s attention to keeping the environment and equipment sanitized.
